My Tool Carousel 2006 - followup 2012

This is my tool carousel that I designed myself. It's several layers of round bearings I found at the hardware store, seperated by the mesh grids you can turn into cubes. Well, long ago I bent mine to make jewelry displays, and then I recycled them here.
I decided not too long ago that ice cube trays make good bead containers. They stack, they don't have covers, they are deep enough to hold the beads, but not too deep you can't get stuff out. I've done it lots of ways: baggies, boxes, drawers, containers inside containers, fishing tackle boxes........... You name it, I've tried it.

This seems to work for now.
You can see how my tools and wire sit on the trays. Easy to reach, and more importantly, easy to put away!

update 2012 - this pix was from 2006.  I used this carousel for about 6 months.  It didn't really work the way I hoped it would, and it took up space on my bench, so I dismanteled it.
